Crystal Sea Trawling Blog
Typical January!
Published in Untagged by davidstevensWere still in the harbour along with the rest of the fleet waiting for the stormy weather to pass, I have to admit it's quite frustrating knowing that we could be out on good fishing, but a least it's so poor that you are not Iming and aming. The weather is still forecast to be sou west gales all of next week as well, but we have plenty to do, on monday Janis and I are going to startcleaning the engineroom, we have to spray detergent on the pipes and deckheads to remove the smeach and then hopefully if it is stiil poor we'll paint the engineroom up.
My old friends the seagull's were back last week with a vengence, there were many old faces but unfortunatly there were many young new gulls as well, learning the job from their parents. I was most impressed at how quick they were to learn how to be a fully fledged seagull's, it wasn't long before they had sqawking, feeding and messing the boat up mastered and the crew and I spent the week drove mad with the racket and scrubbing the shelter down. I take back the coments made in earlier blog's about missing them, I have starting to wish they would go on their holidays again.
