Spring Has Come At Last
Published in Untagged by davidstevensWe are working to the south of the Scillies by about 15-25 miles and the fishing has been good. We are seeing the spring fish come on quickly this week and had our first basket of Dorys for the year today. The Lemons and Megs fishing has been good as well and the Hakes are starting to show, so the spring fishing is here!
The weather has been fresh at times but it hasn't held us upmuch, however we had to stop on Monday morning to re splice our warps as the hard eyes needed replacing, I didn't want to risk towing them in poor weather. It only took an hour to do the two splices and with that done we shot away again. We are due to land our catch for Fridays market so lets hope the fishing keeps up.
