Published in Untagged by davidstevensThe boat is still up at macduff, but she will be ready to go back down the slip wednesday or thursday. The new shaft went in on friday and then they started to weld the new nozzel on into the archway, it had to be done once the new shaft was in place as the welders had to have the prop on the end so the welding was spot on, as the slightest bit of unalinement would result in the prop touchingthe nozzel as it spun.
The paint gang are back aboard to finish off the hull and the antifoulent will be going on wednesday ready for us to drop back into the water.
With the hull dried out we have been checking for gribble worm as it easier to spot when the wood is dry, but she isn't to bad for worm. When we drop back in the water we will have to check the engine alinement and the shaft so that we know it all to be straight.
We then have to go out on trials to test the nozzel under load to see how it peforms, so if all goes well we are hoping to head home on Friday.
