I not that supersticious But?

The boat is still away to the south west, but they have come a bit closer as the trip has gone on. The fishing hasn't been to bad but we have had a few things go wrong, first we had a valve bust on one of our fuel tanks and it has jammed shut, so we are unable to use the tank, so we are down to three tanks and that only gives us enough fuel for 5days fishing. Then yeterday on that daythat shall not be named, Alec was towing away with the tide with him and the nets came afast on the bottom, then when they hauled one of the nets was badly ripped, so they had a days mending that day, but it's all fixed up now so we are hoping to stay out of trouble from now on.

The boat is due in on monday so we can take fuel and land, the weather is looking fairly settled so we are hoping to turn around and head out again as soon as possible.

We had the launch of the fishing for litter scheme yesterday, which I think is a great idea. We have for as long as i can remember always brought in the rubbish that we catch in our trawls, but now we are being supplied with 1tonne rubble sacks, which are ideal for storing and hoisting the rubbish ashore. The scheme won't make any difference to what we do but it does highlight some of the good work that the industry does, even though we see it as part of our job to do it.
