Arrived Macduff

Published in Untagged  by davidstevens

We arrived a little early yesterday morning, so we went into the broch (fraserbrough) to drop off some boxes that the tranquility had left behind in Newlyn. It was low tide when we got to the murray firth, so we were unable to enter macduuff, as you need at least 3hours of flood to enter the harbour due to our draft. So we headed for macduff in the afternoon and we were moored by 1600hrs,after we had lifted our trawl doors ashore and the old spare propellor that we took up with us.

This morning the slipping crew came down and by 0745 they had us up the slip all chocked up, then the shipyard workers got about the hull and in no time they had the rudder off and were drawing the shaft.

David patterson and his paint gang came aboard and started cleaning the weedy hull off ready for a much needed lick of paint.
