Crystal Sea Trawling Blog
A normal augast
Published in Untagged by davidstevensWe have been working closer to shore from 6-12miles off land as this time of year the fishing is better inside the squid has turned up at the wolf and on the right state of tide the fishing has been quite good. Also the price has remained strong so this is a big help, Alec has been away on another vessel the Alison Kay which has come down from scotland to do a research trip to see howviable a large twin rig trawler would be in the south west, it has had mixed results. But for us we always learn a lot from other fisherman so it has been well worth while and Alec has been to places that we thought may be profitable for us and they have proved to be so.
The Weather is still relatively poor for the time of year and it is frustrating that we can't string the trips together as we would like to, but it does keep supplies intermitant and the prices up.
